Nav Grewal, MSc PT, BSc is a Registered Physiotherapist with a passion for Women’s Health and Pelvic Rehabilitation. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Winnipeg, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology. With a keen interest in injury prevention and human biomechanics, she then moved to Hamilton, Ontario to pursue her Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.
Nav was introduced to Women’s Health and Pelvic Rehabilitation in her last semester at McMaster, and decided to take further post-graduate training in the area. Pelvic health is rooted in traditional physiotherapy, and special attention is paid to the structure and function of the pelvic floor muscles in conjunction with surrounding connective tissues, the core, low back, diaphragm, and hips. Nav treats a variety of conditions that can cause pelvic floor dysfunction, including urinary urge and stress incontinence, fecal incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, prolapse, vaginismus, vulvodynia, pain with intercourse, as well as pre-, ante-, and post-natal patients.
Nav takes great care in treating each client’s concerns with an evidence-based plan, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and patient education. She combines these approaches with her client’s individual goals to improve their quality of life and return them to health.
When she is not treating patients, Nav enjoys leading a healthy lifestyle by keeping active with running, yoga, meditation, and dance, and prefers a plant-based diet.
She also continues to expand her knowledge by taking advanced courses in pelvic health and integrating new research into her practice.
